Features
Everything Tungsten does, each shown on its own.
An infinite canvas of terminals
Every session is a real terminal on one plane. Pan and zoom like a map, drag panes by their header, resize from any edge. Panes snap to a grid and to each other, and a new one never lands on top of another.
- Pinch or ⌘-scroll to zoom
- ⌘F fits everything
- ⌘1–⌘9 flies to a terminal
- ⌘T opens a new one
Launch in a fresh worktree
Pick a folder, flip on a worktree, and the agent starts on a new branch in its own checkout. Your .env files are copied over and dependencies installed first, with mise or whichever package manager the repo uses. An existing branch can be checked out too.
- Click Claude, Codex or Pi in the dock
- Turn on Worktree
- ↵ to launch
Sub-agents get their own panes
Each Claude Code sub-agent appears next to the session that started it, showing its task, model and what it's doing right now. When it finishes, the pane fades and its line draws back in.
- Automatic for Claude Code started in Tungsten
A live preview of the dev server
Start a dev server and its page opens beside the terminal once the port answers. It closes when the server stops and comes back when it restarts. Back, reload, zoom and DevTools are in the pane's toolbar.
- Automatic when a session prints a local URL
Claude profiles
Run each pane's Claude under a different account, say personal and work, and pick which one new panes start on. The tag locks while Claude is running so a session can't switch accounts halfway.
- Click the profile tag above a pane
- Or pick one in the launcher
Checks that run where you work
Your repo's test, lint, typecheck, format and build scripts, plus mise tasks and Make targets, as one stack of rows. Runs started by you or by an agent show up live with their exit codes. Click a row to run it again in its terminal.
- Opens the first time a check runs
- Or click the checks tag
Plan limits in the dock
Two rings per provider show how much of your Claude and Codex 5-hour and weekly limits you've used. A ring turns red past 80%.
- Always at the bottom of the dock
- Hover for reset times
Commit history as a graph
The repo's log as a lane graph, with commits nobody has pushed yet drawn in blue. Click a commit for its message and the files it touched.
- Click the branch tag
A glow when Claude is waiting
When a Claude Code session needs you, for a permission prompt or because it has finished its turn, its pane pulses red until you look at it. It never glows on the pane you're already in.
- Automatic for Claude Code started in Tungsten
The diff, editable in place
The working tree's whole diff, file by file. Edit a file right there, and if an agent changes it while you're typing, Save turns into Overwrite instead of silently clobbering its work.
- Click the diff tag
- ⌘S saves
Command palette
Jump to any pane by its title, folder or branch, or run a command without leaving the keyboard. Recent panes come first.
- ⌘K opens it
- Type to fuzzy-search
- ↵ jumps or runs
Colour a pane and everything it opened
Give a terminal a colour and its diff, preview and sub-agent panes take the same one, so related work reads as a group on a busy canvas. Seven solids, four gradients, and it stays after a restart.
- Right-click a pane's header
Every worktree in one list
See each worktree Tungsten made, with its branch, changes and pull request. Filter by PR state, select several, and delete them with their branches. A worktree whose PR merged or closed deletes itself after a delay you choose, unless you keep it.
- Worktrees tile in the dock
- Auto-delete after 1h, 1d, 3d or 1w
Session restore
Quit and reopen to find your terminals, diffs and checks where you left them, with each folder, its recent scrollback and the camera as it was. Running commands don't come back.
Close guard
⌘W asks first when a pane has a process running or an unsaved edit.
Mac keys in the terminal
⌥←/→ by word, ⌘←/→ to the line's ends, ⌥⌫ and ⌘⌫ to delete, ⇧ to select. ⇧⏎ adds a newline in Claude Code.
Drop a file in
Drag a file onto a terminal to paste its path. Claude Code takes a dropped image as an attachment.
Font and zoom
⌘= and ⌘- size one pane's text. View › Default Zoom sets where new panes and ⌘1–⌘9 land.
Light and dark
Both themes, with an animated dither or a solid background behind the canvas.
Skills at a glance
Every Claude Code skill on the machine, yours and your plugins', in one panel off the dock.
Updates in place
A pill appears when a new release is out, and installs it without a trip to GitHub.
